Dear Ashley, It was my privilege to work in the Young Women’s program with you as a leader. Your purity and goodness was always present. There was never a time that you questioned a principle or teaching. You quietly let your light shine and beautifully accepted all the truths that the prophets taught, and followed the Savior’s plan. You, Ashley Johnson prove to me that a daughter of God can come to this earth and walk upon it with purity and valiance and be ready at any time to return home when called back to be in the presence of our Father. Thank you Ashley. I will always love and cherish your example. I watched you walk in the footsteps of your righteous mother and father; in the footsteps of your ancestors who so faithfully prepared the way for you, and above all, I watched you walked in the footsteps of our Beloved Savior, even Jesus the Christ. Well done Ashley! Yes, you obtained the Young Women’s in Excellence Award years ago, but without a doubt, you have been awarded the Daughter of God in Excellence award this day.
