A consecrated servant of the Lord

I was in Salt Lake City during the summer of the year 2011 doing my internship. While I was there I rode the bus to and from work. One afternoon while I was waiting for the bus at a station I had never been to before, I sat beside a man from India and we started talking to make our wait shorter. As our conversation progressed he mentioned to me that he was Christian and that he had been investigating the Mormon church and was thinking about getting baptized. He told me that he was being taught by sister missionaries and one of the first ones to teach him was a sister from Alberta, Canada and he really liked her because she was very nice and he had learned a lot from her. When I told him that I was also from Alberta and as he continued to tell me more about this particular sister we came to the conclusion that the sister missionary that he was talking about was Ashley! I was very surprised that two strangers like us happened to be there at the same time in the same place and we knew Ashley. He then told me that he wanted to get in touch with her so he could tell her about all the progress he was doing in the church and how much he had changed because of her. I talked to Ashley later on and they were able to get in touch. I know that he was very happy and grateful to have met Ashley and she was not just a missionary that he once met, but a dear friend. I know that Ashley was more than just a missionary for the 18 moths that she served in Utah, she was an angel in disguise that blessed the lives of those that came in contact with her. I know that those people that are around her now are going to be very blessed too. Her example of love and dedication to the Lord and his children will never be forgotten. Her sweet smile, soft words and warm spirit will always be in my mind. Thank you Ashley for changing our lives.
