I didnt know Ashley from her church, she was simply my close friend durring the awkward teenager years of junior high school. Sadly over time we lost touch but I often think of those years and how I was so lucky to have such a wonderful group of friends during that time. There were 5 of us that were always together and we all gave each other fruit names. Ashley was plum, I was banana we had a kiwi, peach and cherry as well lol. We sang in choir and shared many summer days together. Out of the blue I am thinking of her today. I feel she would have been a great example to us all in these difficult times.
